Cambridge

Just like every Saturday that we are in London, Jordan and I went to Portabello and got a fresh fruit cup and a pastry for breakfast. I am really going to miss that.

After breakfast we joined up with Rachel and went out to Cambridge. When we got there we were greeted with crazy long lines to get out of the train station and a ton of police officers. Not really knowing what was going on we were forced to be herded around the line until a police dog eventually sniffed us for drugs and let us go. I have never been sniffed for drugs before...so that was a first. It was kinda a fun game guessing who was going to get pulled out of the line though. haha We found out later that today was the Strawberry Fair in Cambridge. Its this huge music, art, theater, and crafts festival that was attracting tons of interesting people to the city.

Trying to avoid the Fair we decided to take a punting tour of the town. We got to see a lot of the famous colleges (Queens', Kings, Corpus Christie, Trinity...) and other stuff. It was a really beautiful day...I enjoyed our punting trip. After a little more wandering and some souvenir shopping we decided to head home before the drunk Fair crowds.

On the boat...with our punter.

We made it back to King's Cross in time to stand in line for a picture at Platform 9 3/4. Yes...I stood in line to take a picture there. It was totally worth it though haha.

Flying through the wall!

Tonight it seems like everyone is exhausted. We have finals coming up this week, a paper due, a book to read, and the pressing knowledge that we only have 7 more days to do everything that we need to before we leave. STRESSFUL...but I love it. haha
