Kickin it in Keystone

Last week we had a three-day weekend so Jess' brother's fiance offered to let us hang out at her condo in Keystone, Colorado. Jess, Torrie, and I, along with Andrew (Jess' brother) and his roommates, Carrie (Andrew's fiance), and her friend Cody all headed to Colorado for some relaxing and some snowboarding. It was so much fun to get away...and the snow was amazing!

On Saturday we spent the day at Keystone resort. This is the before picture.


Since Jess rides regular (left foot forward) and I ride goofy (right foot forward) we looked pretty funny getting on the lift. Mary-Kate and Ashley potential? haha (I don't know who the creeper in the background is but he makes the picture even funnier)


On top of the mountain...it was such a nice day for boarding!


This is the after picture...it was so bad that it had to be turned into black and white to make us look semi-ok. We had a ton of fun though so its totally ok.

Christmas Break

After spending a week back at school, I miss being home already. I had so much fun this Christmas with my friends and family. I am so blessed to have such loving people in my life. Thanks to everyone for making the season so special!

Every year on Christmas Eve the "pajama elf" visits and brings us all new PJs. This year Danica and I matched while Drew and Matt tried to blend in.

Christmas morning was great. Our family opened the presents from Santa and from each other, and then James, Abby, Cyndi, Reese and their babies came for breakfast, which was delicious. After breakfast Sarah, Rob and their kids came over and we opened the cousin presents. Then we had a lot of fun playing with all the new toys and just enjoying the privilege of spending time together.

The Sunday after Christmas was my friend Amy's birthday...the big 2-0! Kristi, Amy, and I celebrated by eating at Cheesecake Factory and watching Mamma Mia...and a few episodes of John and Kate Plus 8. haha I'm so glad i got to spend time with these fun girls.

The second week of break my family got to spend some more time together skiing and snowboarding in Brianhead. I loved spending time with my family and boarding with my brother. I'm so impressed with how good Danica is getting at skiing. She and my dad had fun ripping down all of the black dimonds while Drew and I worked on the medium courses.

My mom had a little trouble with the camera pretty much every time she tried to get a picture of me on the mountain so this one isn't very exciting but it proves that I was there. haha
