Love/Hate

I hate...

...looking for housing. Seriously, how am I supposed to decide where I want to move in August when it is only February. I hate the pressure I feel to get it done now and the pressure I feel to choose the right place. Its horrible. And there are so many options...it totally stresses me out.

...the nasty habit I have of going to the gym and them coming home and eating a ton of crap. What's the point?? Completely counter-productive.

...when you feel you are getting sick. You know...it starts to hurt in the back of your throat and you just know its coming and there isn't anything you can do to fight it. That's how I am feeling right about now.

I love...

...Thursday night TV. Seriously...Project Runway, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, The Office, Burn Notice, Bones and probably some others I am missing. Fabulous!

...not having class on Friday so I can sit around and watch all this TV and only feel slightly guilty about it :)

...not having class on Friday so I can take advantage of the fresh powder tomorrow...I'm learning how to navigate through trees without crashing and how to jump (actually more how to land the jump...getting into the air isn't too hard)

So Excited!

I have been lusting after this green jacket since December and I finally found it on sale last weekend! So of course...I ordered it. I can't wait for it to get here. I love it so so much.

And of course with my new jacket I HAD to get some new pants (I don't know if this jacket would have worked with the brown ones I have) so... I found these on sale that same night, and ordered them too!

I have a feeling this is going to make me board that much better haha ;)

Thoughts...

Sitting here watching the Olympics and blogging tonight some random are coming to mind...

1. I would like to congratulate Jess and Ryan on their engagement! It happened last night and it has now become public knowledge (I just have to brag for a minute and say that I was the first to know) so I can tell everyone. I am so happy for both of them. I know they will be great together.

Ryan..you better take care of my best friend/roommate/cousin. It is going to be weird when she gets married for sure. I am so happy for her but at the same time I feel sad to be loosing a part of my best friend. We have pretty much been inseparable since we met two and a half years ago and I can't really imagine doing anything without her. May will be the start of an adventure for both of us...me on my own, living in a new apartment with random roommates, making new friends, going outside my comfort zone more than ever before, and Jess starting married life and all of the craziness that goes with that. I can't wait to help her plan this whole wedding though...her happiness these days makes me happy. I just hope we can stay as close as we always have been once she is a married woman!

2. Lately I've been so so grateful for my friends. I have realized that I may not have as many friends as some people, but the friends I do have are amazing people. I know they are there for me whenever and wherever I need them. I know I can count on them and most importantly I know they love me, and I love them.

I've been through a lot, especially this past year, and I couldn't have done it without my friends. Thank you thank you thank you (and not just the ones pictured...all of you!)

3. It is absolutely disgusting that in the past few minutes I have been sitting here I have eaten 340 calories worth of Reese's. It will take 30 minutes for me to work that off at the gym tomorrow...and it only took 10 seconds to eat! Sometimes I really hate calories. If only I could be one of those people that could eat whatever they want and not gain a pound...

4. Valentine's Day is this weekend and it is my first without a valentine since I was 14. Wow...kinda depressing...but definitely part of the growing experience I have been going through lately. I hope everyone else has a great time with their 'person' this weekend.

5. This week my mom came to visit for less than 24 hours. At first I was complaining that she loved my brothers so much more than me because she wouldn't miss any of their games, but then Ryan reminded me that she loved me so much she was willing to drive 12 hours just to spend a few hours with me. We had a great time...shopping, going to a pretty boring banquet, girls night at the movies, and breakfast in the morning. Thanks for coming mom...hopefully next time you can stay a little longer. :)

6. Thanks to Jordan I am obsessed with vanilla diet dr. pepper from Sonic. Just in case you wanted to know.
7. If anyone has any connections to a hospital in the Provo area and wants to get me a job as a CNA I would really appreciate it. PA school applications open up in April and I really need some experience!

8. I really like the Olympics. There is something exciting about a nation coming together and cheering on our athletes. I love watching snowboarding, ice skating, skiing and pretty much anything else I have time to watch. I also love all the random facts I have learned about Canada in the past few minutes haha
9. I LOVE music. Lately I have been listening to a ton of Owl City, The Script, Train, Parachute, and my new favorite...Haven't Met You Yet by Michael Buble. Music helps get me through the day.

10. Speaking of music...one album that can always make me feel better is Legally Blonde the Musical! Jordan and I are going to see it next month in Salt Lake and I cannot be more excited! It is going to be just like our London days where we saw at least one show a week.

Sorry that was all really random...I hope I didn't bore anyone to death...

Dare Spoons

Last weekend I got together with some of my friends (new and old) for an exciting game of dare spoons. In case you don't know (and I didn't before last weekend) dare spoons is like regular spoons, but once you loose three games you have to do a pre-determined dare. This game got intense...I had to post these pictures just to prove that yes, these things really happened.

Classic spoons game play

I lost first (thanks Skyler haha) so I got to kick things off with the first dare...taking someone's sock off of their foot and putting it in my mouth for 5 seconds. Yay me! haha I chose Jess...so...after trying not to think about how the sock was just between her foot and a bowling shoe...I went for it.

Ryan had to force it toward me at the beginning...

...but I did it. UGH!

Next up, Jess...she was presented with the lovely task of licking Ryan's foot...from heel to toe. In case you didn't know, 5 months ago Jess wouldn't touch anyone's feet...not even with her own, covered foot, much less her tongue.

Great contact haha

Torrie was the last girl surviving with the boys, but ended up losing her three games and had to swallow a spoonful of James' spit.

While James was filling up the spoon...

...Torrie was cringing in the corner...and I really don't blame her.

But...she did it!

With just the guys left the game was getting pretty intense. Ryan lost next so he had to suck on James' big toe for 10 seconds...and make at least one tongue contact.

He made three...and then bit James' toe right at the last second :)

Only James and Skyler were left and after hearing the last dare, they both wanted to do it. So...even though James one...we gave them both the honor. Their task...wear some of my shorts (you may recognize them...) and go to a girls apartment (it was around 12:30 by this point...) and ask for tampons (they got extra points if they could score a pearl)

They were all too willing...

...and very successful. It was a hilarious end to a great night. Thanks everyone! :)

Ode to Jordy (and Greg)

For the past three out of four Sundays Jordan and Greg have graciously taken me into their home and fed me Sunday dinner. This is a major treat because I don't usually feel like making myself a nice dinner on Sundays, and when I go over there I get at least four courses. Take yesterday for example...roast, homemade gravy, potatoes, homemade rolls, a fruit salad, and vegetables! It doesn't get better than that. Then...we watch a movie or some Veronica Mars. Its fabulous. Seriously though, I am so grateful for their friendship. I'm so glad I got close to Jordan in London, and I'm glad she married such a great guy. One day, when I'm not just feeding myself on Sundays, I will definitely return the favor.

GRE

So...the scores are in. Its funny...I can get over 100 points higher in the math section than in the verbal section and I am in the same percentile in both. I don't understand it. But either way, I am happy. I was very consistent in all three categories (math, verbal, and writing) and was surprised with my verbal score especially. Hopefully these are good enough for getting into PA school (especially with my lack of medical experience...blah) but who knows...I might end up taking it again.
